Hello Maria,
Al and I are are the ones that started the www.torricellapeligna.com site. He forwarded his reply to you. I did not see your original message, so I'm not sure where you are writing from. I see you are researching the Fante family. I'm sure you know about John Fante and his son, Dan Fante, distinguished writers. If not, there is more info on our website or that of www.abruzzo2000.com. I just thought I'd add the fact that I was born in Durango, Colorado. A Fante made the journey to America with my great-grandfather, Domenico Aspromonte. They established themselves in Durango and changed their name to Fanto. There is even a park in Durango called Fanto park, named after Ma Fanto who played a significant role in the history of Durango.

All the best,
Dan/Donato Aspromonte
