Perhaps by now you have found a way to get to Torricella. But, just in case you haven't, there are daily busses from Perugia to Chieti or Pescara. They depart from near the railway station. Then from Pescara or Chieti you will need to catch an other bus to Torricella. The times of these buses now I don.t know. Years ago they were very frequent but now they are very rare.

In relation to the Nicolo` family(And it is pronounced with the accent on the 0) there are a few still in Torricella others are scattered around Italy. To my knowledge the Nicolo`s all belong to one family and should not be difficult for you to find your relations.
