Certo è curioso vedere Corso Umberto I spoglio, senza nessun albero.

These three photos taken today by Tiziana Teti show the state of the works of resurfacing the pavements.

The work is being carried out without interruption and, about 20 days after it began, they have already pulled up both the paving stones and the under-layer of the pavements, have uprooted all the trees, have fixed the edges of the pavements and are finishing off the connection of the collecting tubes of the drains.

The firm has undertaken to finish the works by July 20th, although if the weather is good and no problems arise they might even finish earlier than that.

The work of the firm restoring the Eighteenth Century Persichetti building is also coming to an end, and as can be seen in the photos they have already painted it.

So everything is progressing well. Let’s just hope that the “New Look” will be better than the old one, but we don’t doubt that. However, it is strange to see the Corso Umberto I “undressed” (naked) without any trees.
